Tupping is complete

After a very strange start, due to the burst of warm weather, when many ewes 'went over', we're now done.  99% sure, as a couple of ewes need a clear cycle to go, but we're sure all are covered.

The two tups we have used are: Carsfad Nitrogen  (reserve male Royal Highland 2010 as a lamb and 3rd as a shearling at GYS - 13 forward) and Gracewood Nimrod (several first places as both a lamb and a shearling).

They have been used on eleven ewes.  We shall have them scanned just before Christmas and then adjust their feeding for those with singles and those with twins.

Dewi Fawr King

We have sold Dewi Fawr King.  Reluctant to see him go, but we have five rams currently and intend now to keep our home bred Gracewood Nimrod for breeding next year.  He's gone to a good home - a starter flock with ambitions for the show ring, so we hope to see his offspring win prizes!

An excellent lambing

We have thirteen fine lambs from ten ewes. Three coloured (one show quality), lost three from the sixteen due. Show quality hopefuls: two tup lambs and three ewe lambs. Of the 13, 8 females, 5 males. That's a ratio we like!
